Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is branching out this fall. Recognizing the need for a patient access point in the fast-growing northern suburbs, Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center will be a new ambulatory care center located in Frisco. The facility, situated on 40 acres at Lebanon Road and the Dallas North Tollway, will be an extension of the Dallas hospital and initially offer sports medicine and orthopedic clinics, fracture care and day surgeries for children from birth to 18 years of age.
For surgeries requiring overnight stays and other related services, patients will be referred to Dallas. Since 1921, the hospital has provided medical care for more than 300,000 children. Patients receive excellent care regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
A key component of the new Frisco facility will be the hospital’s sports medicine practice, which provides specialized treatment for sports-related orthopedic conditions and concussions, and includes a sports injury prevention and education program to improve athletic safety within schools and local sports teams.
